Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/woman Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of equipment and vehicles used in our service operations. Your mechanical expertise will ensure that our fleet and equipment operate efficiently and safely, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional service.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on service vehicles, portable toilets, tanks, and related equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to diagnose issues and execute repairs
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large components or equipment parts
- Read and interpret technical schematics and assembly instructions for complex repairs
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Assist with the installation and assembly of recent equipment or components as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base
- Dealership experience is highly desirable for understanding vehicle systems thoroughly
- Proficiency in welding techniques for repairing metal components
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and schematics for diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and maintenance practices
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary
