The Apprentice Plumber will assist in various plumbing tasks, learn essential skills, and contribute to the successful completion of plumbing projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the plumbing team with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and build plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand plumbing layouts and requirements.
- Perform basic math calculations to measure and cut materials accurately.
- Help troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide solutions under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work setting, ensuring all tools are accounted for.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to local building codes during all tasks.
Experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred, with an understanding of how various systems function.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction or plumbing work.
- Experience or coursework related to carpentry or HVAC is a plus but not required.
- A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced plumbers is essential.
- Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
