SEXSMITH SECONDARY SCHOOL is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant (30 hours/week) .

The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher. The positions will require the successful candidate to support students with a variety of needs including personal care and complex behaviors. We require someone who is versatile and who is able to work closely with many staff members from grades 7-12.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred
- CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset




- Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred
- You have the ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
- You have the ability to meet outside of school hours.
- You have the ability to work as part of a team.

A current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check), dated within the last six months, is a condition of employment.

Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in Policy GGG: Personnel Policy for Non-Teaching Staff. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $20.66/hour to $27.20/hour.
