The role combines strategic route portfolio leadership with deep analytical expertise in trade lane development, route economics, market intelligence, and commercial-operational alignment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Route Development Management (RDM) agenda for assigned regions, countries, or trade lanesDefine trade lane priorities, route opportunity roadmaps, and route portfolio strategies aligned with business objectivesTranslate regional and global route development priorities into actionable execution plans with explicit ownership, governance, milestones, and performance metricsConduct advanced trade lane analysis utilizing market intelligence, customer demand trends, route economics, carrier capacity, gateway capabilities, and competitive benchmarksAnalyze route performance indicators including conversion rates, gross profit per file, capacity utilization, paid-out quality, consolidation ratios, transit time reliability, service performance, and exception trendsLead route development support for strategic RFQs, tenders, sector opportunities, and major customer pursuitsDevelop and maintain route development dashboards, databases, scorecards,



and performance reporting toolsCoordinate closely with Sales, Pricing, Supplier & Carrier Management, Gateway and Station Operations, Product & Services, and Business Intelligence teamsIdentify recurring lane challenges and elevate structural issues affecting route performanceProvide technical guidance and mentorship to route development specialists and cross-functional stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders while influencing decisions through fact-based analysis and business recommendationsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Transportation, or related field6+ years of experience in Air Freight, Network Design, Route Development, Trade Lane Management, Pricing, Carrier Management, or related logistics functionsDemonstrated experience managing complex route development initiatives and cross-functional projectsProven ability to influence senior stakeholders across commercial and operational organizationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skills including conflict management and negotiationCross-cultural competence and cultural sensitivitySelf-starter with excellent planning and organizing skillsUnderstanding of continuous improvement methodologiesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointFluent in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantageSalary Range: CAD $90,000–$110,000 base salary + Bonus + Full Benefits.Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Transportation, or related field. 6+ years of experience in Air Freight, Network Design, Route Development, Trade Lane Management, Pricing, Carrier Management, or related logistics functions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
