Position Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor - Architectural
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Woodbridge, ON
Roles and Responsibilities:
- This position requires onsite/ in office presence.
- Review project documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs from project documents.
- Prepare bill of quantities using standard formats.
- Obtain quotations of material and equipment from suppliers.
- Prepare construction cost estimate at various deign stages including schematic design stage, design development and construction documents.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Assist senior staff with presentation material and technical reports for specific projects.
- Co-ordinate with architects & engineering consultants for project design clarification or elaboration.
- Maintain estimating data.
- Attend site-visits for site reviews when needed.
Skills and Qualification: Post-secondary education in construction estimation, engineering or equivalent.
- Applied Science Technologist or Engineering Technologist an asset.
- 2+ years of estimating experience .
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using estimating software based on Excel Sheets, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Commitment to a team spirit to achieve company objectives.
