Role: To ensure general accounting duties are performed in a timely fashion and financial and business transaction data is up-to-date.
Role Responsibilities:
· Monitor daily bank balances, including announcing incoming funds and clearing outgoing payments
· Prepare month-end GL reconciliations
· Participate in internal and external audits
· Support the monthly preparation of financial reports including, cost center report, financial statement notes and sales/COS report preparation, tax reporting (GST/HST, MB PST, Sask PST), Field Service and MasterCard expense reports, among others
· Prepare monthly collections file and ensure it reconciles to GL month-end balance
· Prepare revenue packages
· Prepare customer sales invoices
· Coordinate leases and contracts to ensure payments are current, renewals are flagged, and cancellations are completed
· Analyze and report on service and resale business
· Maintain records and reports pertinent to this role
· Maintain and update Finance Work Instructions pertinent to this role
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
· 2nd – 3rd level recognized Accounting Program (CPA), or Business Admin/Accounting Certificate program
·Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
· Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
· Advanced computer literacy
· Outstanding numeric and mathematical skills
· Excellent customer relations skills
· Superior organization, time management and team building skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Highly analytical and detail-oriented
· High level of integrity and honesty
