Company Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Junior Data Scientist / Data Analyst to join their remote team and support Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Healthcare, AI, and Machine Learning initiatives.

The role focuses on analyzing biological, clinical, and operational data, developing predictive models, identifying meaningful patterns, and building data-driven solutions to support innovation across biotechnology and life sciences.

Accountabilities

- Analyze biological, clinical, laboratory, operational, and healthcare datasets.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics.
- Build and evaluate Machine Learning models using Python and SQL.
- Develop predictive models for biological processes, clinical outcomes, and operational performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Build dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Clean, transform, and validate large and complex datasets.
- Support AI and data-driven biotechnology and life sciences projects.
- Work with APIs, cloud platforms, databases, and structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Bioinformaticians, Engineers, Product, and Research teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Up to 1 year of experience in Data Science,



Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Biotechnology, Healthcare, or a related field, or strong personal projects.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, statistics, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Interest in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Healthcare, AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science .

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with biological, clinical, healthcare, laboratory, or scientific datasets.
- Knowledge of time-series analysis, predictive modeling, anomaly detection, or optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, APIs, or data pipelines.
- Exposure to bioinformatics, computational biology, or healthcare analytics.
- GitHub, Kaggle, bootcamp, or personal Data Science projects.
- Exposure to Generative AI or LLMs.
