Role Description The Junior Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Frederiction, NB. In this role, the Junior Engineer supports project planning, design, and analysis across a variety of engineering assignments under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day tasks may include preparing technical drawings and documentation, assisting with calculations and modeling, performing field visits and site inspections, and contributing to project reports and proposals.

Engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, communicates with internal stakeholders, and helps ensure that projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position offers hands-on experience, mentoring,
and growth opportunities within a professional engineering setting.
Qualifications
- Foundational technical skills in engineering design, drafting, and analysis, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical problems.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., CAD tools, modeling or analysis software) and strong computer literacy with standard office applications.
- Solid research, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, including the capacity to interpret technical data, standards, and regulations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, documentation, and collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project-based environment.
- Ability to work safely on-site, including participation in field inspections and site visits as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or a closely related field; eligibility or interest in pursuing professional engineering registration is an asset.
- Interest in public and private sector infrastructure projects; prior co-op or internship experience in engineering consulting is beneficial.
