This position reports to the Vice President, Finance and works closely with our payroll and operations teams.
Summary of position: Responsible for accurate and timely full-cycle company-wide payroll.
Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll for commission-based, salary, and hourly employees at 50+ locations across 5 provinces
- Process recent hire/termination and all employee changes as required
- Maintain employee personnel files
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with employment standards for multi-provincial company
- Intermediate Excel, DocuSign, and computer skills
- History working in a large company and an uncanny ability to organize high volume of data and information
- High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
- Keen attention to detail and exceptional level of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset
- Canadian Payroll Association certification or equivalent experience is an asset
- This is a full-time in-person position located in our SE Calgary head office
- Willing to train the right candidate
