Summary of Position: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven professional to join our growing team of professionals. Working within the Accounting Department reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will provide payroll support for the CCI Group of companies, located out of our Calgary Office.
Accountabilities: Prepare and process Three (3) payrolls in Canada on a bi-weekly schedule, Payroll back up for four (4) additional weekly payrolls, one in Canada and Three in the US. Approximately 300 personnel using manual timesheets for all payrolls combined. Responsible for employee file management in our accounting software SAP Hanna and Ceridian Dayforce systems.
Verify timesheets in accordance with company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial legislation.
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, and other deductions.
Ensure accurate processing of sick pay, benefits, and vacation payouts.
Pay error correction/Adjustment and retro pay calculation
Ensure timely distribution of ROE’s in accordance with legislation. Maintenance of payroll records, including employee census, employee files, and year end reports
Enter adjustments necessary for all benefit premiums of new employees and status change updates for benefit deductions.
Maintain accurate employee information with our benefit providers.
Reconcile benefit premiums and ensure accuracy in payroll systems. WCB premium reporting for all returns in each province.
Tracking of vacation liability for each employee.
Support the implementation of payroll products.
Maintain confidential records both electronic and physical records for all employees. Maintain documents to support internal processes for payroll. Provide excellent customer service by resolving internal payroll issues.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager on all project requirements.
Any and all other matters required with respect to payroll administration.

Qualifications: PCP designation with 3-5 years of payroll experience
Strong work ethic and flexibility to work overtime when required
Excellent communication skills
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables,
Ability and willingness to learn new systems
US payroll experience (an asset)
SAP and/or Dayforce experience (an asset)
