Lucky Doggy Pet Resort is looking for recent Kennel Attendants to become a vital part of providing exceptional care and comfort to our furry guests!
In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of animals in our care while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment where pets feel loved and owners feel confident their animals are in good hands.
The position is available immediately and requires previous experience handling dogs and cats. This is not a job where all you do is play and pet animals (though it's definitely the best part!), our ideal candidate is someone dependable, trustworthy, and willing to put in the effort to make each stay the best one possible.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, providing fresh water, and administering medications as needed
- Exercising and supervise dogs outdoors year-round, in both hot and cold weather
- Clean up after animals during their stay, this includes pee, poo and vomit
- Clean and sanitize rooms and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Monitor animals’ behavior and health,
reporting any concerns to management promptly
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and ensure safety for everyone involved
Skills
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or animals
- Attention to detail in cleaning, record keeping, and observing animal health
- Energetic attitude with a passion for working with animals and people
- Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining a positive, proactive approach
Qualifications
- Previous experience handling dogs (and preferably cats too), this is a job where you need to have a general knowledge of dog breeds and behaviors
- Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes (large and small)
- Comfortable separating dogs when needed, and handling anxious animals
- Reliable vehicle for driving to and from work
