Are you passionate about pets, customer service, and working in a fast-paced retail environment? Global Pet Foods Labrador City is looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Key Holder to join our team starting in September.

This position is ideal for someone who has regular daytime availability during the week and is looking for part-time employment with responsibility and variety in a fun, pet-friendly environment.

This position requires availability during regular school hours and is not suitable for someone whose availability is limited by a school schedule.

We specifically need someone who can provide weekday daytime coverage while school is in session, as well as some evenings and weekends.

Applicants must have reliable and flexible availability throughout the week and be available to work during daytime hours.

Responsibilities

- Greet and assist customers and their pets
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on pets' nutritional and wellness needs
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
- Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain product displays
- Receive and unpack deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
- Open and/or close the store as scheduled
- Complete Key Holder responsibilities and follow store opening and closing procedures
- Work independently and assist with daily store operations

Requirements
- Must be available during weekday daytime/school hours
- This position is not suitable for students whose school schedule limits their weekday daytime availability




- Must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience preferred
- Previous Key Holder or supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of animals, pet nutrition, and pet products is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, dependable, and comfortable working independently
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- First Aid certification is considered an asset but is not required
- Must be able to reliably commute to Labrador City, NL

Store Hours & Availability Key Holders must be available for a variety of shifts during our store operating hours:

Monday–Friday: 9:45 AM – 8:15 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM

Shifts may range from 4 to 10.5 hours and can include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Our primary need for this position is weekday daytime coverage. Applicants must be able to work during regular school hours and should not be relying on evenings and weekends only.
