Pasqua First Nation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our school team for the 20262027 academic year. This position is ideal for a caring and creative educator who is committed to fostering early childhood development in a culturally responsive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes Indigenous language, culture, and traditions.
- Collaborate with educational assistants, support staff, families, and community members to support student growth.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school leadership.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and community-based events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education focus preferred).
- A valid Saskatchewan Professional "A" Teaching Certificate.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture, values, and language (an asset).
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

- Previous experience teaching in a First Nations or culturally diverse workplace.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and holistic education.
