Café Team Member — Part-Time

Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take customer orders using the POS system and recommend menu items
- Receive and process payments accurately
- Prepare and serve food and beverages from our menu
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the café and kitchen
- Assist baristas as needed
- Restock coffee, tea, paper products, and other supplies
- Check freezer, refrigerator, and heating-equipment temperatures to ensure proper operation
- Receive deliveries and lift or carry merchandise when required
- Take out garbage and complete other general cleaning duties




- Work collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
- Must be able to reliably commute to the café on Saturdays and Sundays for shifts beginning as early as 7:00 a.m.
- Must also be available for closing shifts ending as late as 9:30 p.m.
- English-language proficiency
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification
- Serving It Right certification is preferred but not required
- Strong multitasking, organization, and customer-service skills
- Flexible availability
- Previous kitchen or customer-service experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization
- Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude
- Passion for coffee and hospitality
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend frequently
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
