Duties

- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, dishes, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling, or organizing ingredients under supervision
- Operate dishwashing machines efficiently while ensuring all dishes, cookware, and utensils are sanitized and ready for use
- Support kitchen staff with food handling tasks as needed, following proper hygiene protocols
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed to keep the workspace tidy
- Help with restocking supplies and organizing storage areas to facilitate smooth kitchen operations




- Follow safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

- Prior experience in restaurant or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a busy kitchen setting
- Familiarity with food preparation or cooking is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience can be advantageous for understanding guest service standards
