We’re looking for an experienced Motion / Interaction Designer to join a large financial organization and help create engaging digital experiences across a high-traffic consumer mobile app and web platform.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary designer who combines motion design, multimedia storytelling and digital product thinking. You’ll create everything from subtle in-app interactions and animations to educational and promotional videos, working closely with product, content and design partners.
Responsibilities
- Design engaging micro-interactions, UI animations and motion experiences for mobile and digital products
- Create educational and promotional videos that communicate product features and benefits
- Develop motion graphics, multimedia assets and animations for app and web experiences
- Create storyboards and take concepts through to polished final execution
- Enhance and evolve existing digital and promotional assets
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Content Designers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering against established timelines
- Ensure creative work aligns with established brand standards and design systems
- Contribute to both 2D and 3D animation projects
Qualifications
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in interaction design, multimedia design, motion design or a related discipline
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience creating Lottie animations
- Experience with 2D and 3D animation
- Strong understanding of motion and interaction within digital product and UI environments
- Ability to translate concepts and product features into compelling visual stories
- Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
- Robust attention to detail and ability to work within established brand guidelines
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
Portfolio Requirements
A strong portfolio is required and should demonstrate a combination of:
- Motion and interaction design
- Mobile or digital product micro-interactions
- Motion graphics and animation
- Educational or promotional video content
- Storyboarding and end-to-end execution
- 2D and/or 3D animation
- Work created within established brands or design systems
The Ideal Candidate
You’re more than a traditional motion designer. You understand how motion, interaction and storytelling come together within digital products to create intuitive and engaging customer experiences.
You’re equally comfortable thinking about the details of a small UI animation and developing a longer-form multimedia piece—and you know how to collaborate with product and content teams to bring both to life.
