Overview The Labour Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing and organizing the efficient receiving, packing, shipping and inventory control of produce.. Duties
- Supervise daily operations of warehouse and production staff to ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Plan, assign, monitor, and report on departmental and production objectives.
- Coordinate and communicate with Production, Shipping, Receiving, Procurement, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of priorities.
- Oversee production scheduling and ensure adjustments are implemented effectively based on operational or sales requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping of products to meet customer orders and specifications
- Monitor production performance, including output, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Train, coach, and provide ongoing directions to employees and direct reports to support performance improvement and development.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive working workplace across all shifts and teams.
- Ensure labor allocation and production lines are scheduled efficiently, including adapting to changes in demand or priorities.
- Track and support key performance indicators such as productivity, cost control, efficiency, and variance targets (e.g., CPMH and COP).
- Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements, including USDA, CFIA, and OSHA standards.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, production counts, and rotation accuracy to ensure data integrity and operational consistency.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper use of computerized systems and production databases.
- Ensure work order counts and production inputs are correctly completed and recorded in systems.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of packaging materials and supplies, and coordinate replenishment with vendors when required.
- Oversee equipment, machinery, and Forklift maintenance to support uninterrupted operations.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues, production challenges, and staffing concerns in a timely manner.
- Communicate customer expectations and requirements to production and shipping teams to ensure compliance and satisfaction.
- Conduct daily briefings with team leads regarding production priorities, issues, and workforce planning.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
