Plantscape is a growing landscaping company serving Windsor-Essex and surrounding areas. We specialize in professional landscape construction, installation, and maintenance for residential and commercial properties.

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Landscape Construction Labourer to join our construction team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in building high-quality outdoor spaces.

What You'll Do

- Assist with landscape construction and installation projects
- Prepare, excavate, grade, and level work areas
- Assist with digging, soil preparation, and site preparation
- Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape plants
- Install and lay sod, including preparing soil and ensuring proper placement
- Install interlock brick, pavers, patios, walkways, and other hardscape features
- Assist with building and installing retaining walls
- Assist with the installation of garden beds, landscape edging, and other landscape features
- Spread and compact soil, gravel, sand, and other landscape materials
- Assist with measuring, levelling, cutting, and fitting landscape materials
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment
- Operate hand tools and landscaping equipment safely
- Assist with grading and drainage preparation
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Protect customer property and existing landscaping during construction
- Follow instructions from the Crew Lead or Construction Supervisor
- Report safety hazards, damaged materials, property damage, or equipment issues
- Follow all Plantscape health and safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work
- Able to lift and carry landscaping materials and equipment




- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn landscaping and construction techniques
- Previous landscape construction, hardscaping, sod installation, or general labour experience is required
- Experience with interlock installation, tree planting, grading, or sod installation is an asset
- Experience operating compactors, skid steers, saws, or other construction equipment is an asset
- Valid G class driver's license

Physical Requirements This position involves regular physical labour, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, shovelling, digging, planting, laying sod, moving interlock materials, and standing for extended periods.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with hours varying depending on project schedules, workload, weather, and seasonal requirements.

Additional hours and occasional weekend work may be required during busy periods.
