We are seeking a Gardening Supervisor to manage a gardening crew. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in gardening, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. You will play a critical role in ensuring our services are delivered efficiently and exceed client expectations.
Work Environment:
- Full time position, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage your gardening crew, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and to the highest standards of quality.
- Crew sizes vary from 2-4 people (including the supervisor)
- Gardening duties including weeding, edging, pruning, deadheading & leaf blowing.
- Operate and drive company vehicles safely, including conducting vehicle safety inspections and securing loads with ratchet straps.
- Work effectively under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks, including taking before-and-after photos and managing time.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional gardening experience.
- Strong proficiency in plant and weed identification.
- Expertise in pruning techniques and seasonal gardening tasks, including cutting back perennials in the spring and fall.
- Proficient in the use of gardening tools such as hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and pole trimmers.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for working outdoors.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Prior supervisor experience an asset but not required
