Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced laser cutting equipment to produce precise metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for each job.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting parameters.
- Program CNC laser machines using CNC programming languages to optimize cutting processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, measuring tools, and visual checks to verify dimensions and surface finishes.
- Assist with material handling using cranes and forklifts to load raw materials and unload finished parts safely.
- Support machining operations including plasma cutting, CNC milling, CNC lathe work, welding, and assembly tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on process improvements and ensure compliance with quality standards.





Experience

- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software for laser, plasma, milling, lathe, or welding operations.
- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, calipers, and blueprint reading.
- Experience working with cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Robust mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail for quality inspection purposes.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments involving machining or assembly is highly desirable.
