Overview Perform general building maintenance and trouble shoot issues with facilities related items such as doors,windows,and locks Mount, hang, and secure objects on walls such as shelves, pictureframes,and fixtures Assemble furniture, including desks,chairs,and other office equipment Assistwith seasonal groundskeeping tasks Maintain a safe and organized work setting,
ensuring all tools and materials are safely stored Assistin setup and breakdown of SRC spaces formeetingsandevents Monitor and report any larger maintenance needs to senior team members and managers Participate as a member of SRC’s emergency management team andassistthe Health and Safety team with OH&S; activities
Qualifications Experience completing basic building maintenancetasks,repairs,and assembly Building Operator certification(s)considered an asset Abletoliftand moveup to 50 lbs
Skills Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities,tasks,and work environments Strongproblem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of how to use avariety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Effective time management and organizational skills
The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
