Overview:

Goose & Gander is a new British-inspired gastropub in Campbell River, blending classic pub favourites with a modern twist. We’re passionate about fresh, flavourful food, a welcoming atmosphere, and creating a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike.

The Role:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Cook to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the menu and put your creative stamp on a brand-recent restaurant concept. You’ll work closely with the owners to develop seasonal dishes, maintain high standards, and lead the kitchen with pride.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality dishes with consistency.
- Create and update menus featuring British classics with a gastropub touch.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
- Manage kitchen operations, including prep, ordering, and inventory.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff.
- Work with management to maintain food cost and quality standards.

Qualifications:





- Proven experience as a lead cook or strong sous chef ready to step up.
- Passion for creative pub-style cooking with a modern edge.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (FoodSafe certification preferred).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be flexible, can work overtime, on weekends, holidays, and late nights.
- MUST be legally authorized to work in Canada
