Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Registered Dental Assistant certification in Alberta
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Experience using Curve Dental Software is an asset
- Strong knowledge of general family dentistry
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities
Preferred Experience:
- CEREC scanning and restorative workflows
- Assisting with frenectomy procedures
- Experience with sleep dentistry appliances and sleep studies
- Digital dentistry workflows and technology
- Inventory management and ordering systems
- Clinical systems implementation
- Strong knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards and protocols
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Lead and support the clinical team to ensure exceptional patient care
- Mentor and train team members on clinical procedures and workflows
- Maintain a positive, cooperative culture within the clinic
- Assist management with clinical systems, efficiency, and process improvement
Chairside Assistance
- Assist dentists with a variety of procedures including restorative, surgery, CEREC, frenectomies, and sleep-related treatments
- Ensure operatories are prepared and equipped for patient care
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions
Inventory & Operations
- Manage clinical inventory and ordering systems
- Monitor supply levels and maintain appropriate stock
- Assist with equipment maintenance and organization
- Support compliance with infection prevention and control protocols
