What You'll Do:
As a member of the Chancellor Park interdisciplinary team, the successful candidate will:
- be accountable for all residents and provide a high standard of care;
- provide select aspects of resident care;
- supervise Personal Care Attendants and provide direction, delegate duties, and monitor their performance;
- administer medications to residents;
- ensure resident satisfaction and continuous quality improvement initiatives are promoted throughout the workplace;
- perform related duties as required.
Hours of Work: Full-time positions are scheduled 75 hours bi-weekly. Positions may include rotational shifts consisting of a combination of:
· Days
· Nights
· Weekends
· Holidays
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking caring, dependable, and resident-focused individuals who are committed to providing high-quality care. Qualifications include:
- Completion of an approved Practical Nursing Program from a recognized institution (or recognized nursing education);
- Current licensure with the College of Nurses of Newfoundland & Labrador (CNNL), or eligible for the same;
- Gerontology and/or palliative care experience is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated initiative, and the ability to work independently;
- Availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment;
- Certificate of Good Conduct, including Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Medical Certificate including evidence of TB testing and immunizations;
