Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This is a full time position from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekends off. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment in a commercial facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean tables, counters, doors, glass, and other surfaces.
- Refill washroom and cleaning supplies as required.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any supply shortages or maintenance concerns.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Complete periodic and detailed cleaning as required.
- Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and company standards.




- Perform other light-duty cleaning tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset but not required.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time-management skills.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform cleaning duties throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Able to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
- Must be committed to maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
