Job Summary

Arevco Lighting Ottawa provides expert lighting solutions for discerning customers. The position of Lighting Showroom Associate will involve participation in most aspects of the showroom operation including sales, lighting design consultation and showroom display and maintenance. The candidate will work closely with the store owner/manager and can expect to gain extensive training and guidance. This is an entry level position in which the salary will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications and Skills

Interest and aptitude for design and décor

Strong communication skills in English, bilingual French/English an asset

Previous sales experience

Previous design training or experience

Ability to understand and learn technical aspects of lighting products and design

Comfortable with computer programs (Word, Excel, point of sale and order entry - training will be provided) Computer aided drawing an asset

Willing to learn lighting installation and/or repairs

Available to work Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. No evening hours required.

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
