Job Overview The Barrel Thief is seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and safety standards




- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages or expired items

Requirements

- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation
- Excellent teamwork skills and positive attitude
- Serving experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Food industry knowledge including meal preparation and food safety regulations
