We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and engaging Live-Out Support Worker to provide weekday support (Mondays to Fridays) to a friendly adolescent with a developmental disability living with her family in Nakusp, BC.

This position focuses on promoting independence, community participation, and meaningful engagement while providing encouragement and guidance with daily routines.

Responsibilities

- Support with activities of daily living through cueing and encouragement
- Promote independence with life skills
- Support participation in recreational and community activities
- Encourage physical activity, including walking, hiking, biking, and other outdoor pursuits
- Accompany the adolescent to appointments and community outings
- Transport to and from school or appointments as required
- Walk the family dog with the adolescent
- Provide companionship while fostering confidence, independence, and positive routines
- Collaborate with the family and rehabilitation team as needed





Expected hours are about 20 hours per week between Mondays to Fridays. We're Looking For Someone Who Is

- Dependable and an excellent communicator

Requirements

- Experience supporting children, youth, or adults with developmental disabilities is considered an asset
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable driving in winter conditions
- Criminal Record Check
- First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Legally able to work in Canada

Pay: $30.00 per hour
