About the Role

Coast to Coast Xpress Inc. is looking for an experienced Load Booking & Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for booking freight, dispatching drivers, and coordinating loads from booking through final delivery.

Responsibilities

- Book loads using Loadlink, DAT, and other load boards.
- Review and confirm rates, pickup/delivery appointments, equipment requirements, and load details.
- Dispatch loads to drivers and provide accurate pickup and delivery instructions.
- Coordinate with drivers, brokers, carriers, customers, shippers, and receivers throughout the shipment.
- Monitor loads from pickup to delivery and handle delays, changes, breakdowns, detention, and other issues.
- Follow up with drivers for PODs, BOLs, lumper receipts, and other required documents.
- Maintain accurate load information and shipment status in the TMS/dispatch system.
- Negotiate rates with brokers and help maximize equipment utilization.
- Ensure all required information and documentation is complete and accurate.

Requirements




- 1–2 years of hands-on load booking and/or dispatch experience required.
- Experience with Loadlink, DAT, or similar load boards.
- Good knowledge of Canadian and U.S. geography and major freight lanes.
- Experience coordinating with drivers, brokers, carriers, and customers.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, email, and transportation/dispatch software.

Assets
- Cross-border Canada–U.S. transportation experience.
- Knowledge of ACE/ACI, customs, and border-crossing procedures.
- Experience with TMS/dispatch systems such as Xpert, TransPlus, Fleet Manager, or similar.
- Existing broker/customer relationships or customer base.
