We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyperson Mechanic to join our operation in Saskatoon.

SOUTHLAND is currently offering a $1,000 hiring bonus for Journeyperson Mechanics. This will be paid out following six months of continuous employment.

Key Responsibilities

Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses

Respond to breakdowns

Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities

Perform semi-annual Government Inspections

Complete all documentation associated with mechanical repairs of equipment Supervision of apprentice mechanics

Suggest areas for additional training and assist with training of apprentice mechanics

Requirements

Journeyperson Ticket - Heavy Duty Mechanic

2 5 years of related experience desired

Valid drivers license (Class 2 or 3 ideal)

Safety Inspection Certification through SGI desired

Experience working with Prevost coaches considered an asset

Analytical and troubleshooting skills

Computer proficiency

Own hand tools
