We are seeking a motivated and dependable Log Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting logs and heavy materials from forestry sites to processing facilities or storage yards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols will ensure efficient deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties
- Operate heavy-duty log trucks with precision, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Safely load and unload logs using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring secure transport.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and forestry personnel to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including weight limits and logging permits.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks, preferably within the logging or freight industries.
- Skilled in forklift operation for loading and unloading logs safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation related to forestry logistics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics to identify mechanical issues promptly.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience in freight handling, route planning, and safety compliance enhances your candidacy.
