About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Logistics & Operations Student to support our day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for students looking to gain practical experience in transportation coordination, dispatching, and warehouse operations.
You’ll be involved in both office-based logistics coordination and hands-on operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries across Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Assist with dispatch planning, including truck availability and routing
- Prepare shipping documentation (manifests, packing lists, bills of lading)
- Track inventory and support outbound shipments
- Communicate with drivers, internal teams, and external partners
- Enter and maintain logistics data in Excel and internal systems
- Support reporting and general logistics coordination
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program (Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related preferred)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Access to a reliable vehicle (Acheson location is not transit accessible)
- Robust organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-focused environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to take on both administrative and hands-on responsibilities
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Previous warehouse or labour experience
- Interest in logistics, transportation, or recycling operations
- Experience with inventory or shipping processes
