To support our continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are now seeking a Lowbed Operator.

The Role:

As a Lowbed Operator at B.G. Selfloading, you will safely and efficiently move our equipment and our clients' equipment to job sites throughout Northern BC. This role suits an independent, self-motivated operator who takes pride in doing the job right.

Key responsibilities include

- Safely operating lowbed and heavy-haul equipment to transport logging equipment, trucks, attachments, and other heavy equipment
- Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading heavy equipment in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, lowbed, tie-downs, chains, binders, and ramps
- Coordinating and obtaining required transportation permits for oversized and overweight loads
- Monitoring road, weather, terrain, and site conditions and adjusting driving practices accordingly
- Completing trip inspections, load documentation, and other required paperwork
- Performing basic maintenance and servicing, including greasing, fluid checks,



and identifying mechanical issues
- Organize and maintain a schedule for efficient pickup and delivery of equipment

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate brings solid experience in lowbedding, a clean driving record, and strong judgment on the road.

We're looking for someone who works independently, communicates effectively, and aligns with our core values. You'll need to be comfortable hauling heavy and oversized loads on remote logging roads and in varying weather conditions.

Additional requirements include

- Class 1 B.C. driver's licence (required)
- Clean driver's abstract (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience low bedding equipment
- Ability to independently coordinate and obtain transportation permits for oversized and overweight loads
- Experience loading and unloading various types of equipment
- Experience working in the central interior of BC and operating heavy equipment (an asset)

Position Details:

Salary is: $40.00–$45.00 hourly

Typical weekly hours are: 60-70 hours

Availability: 7 days a week
