Linus Media Group (LMG) is looking for an organized, tech-obsessed Producer to own video projects from first spark to final upload on Linus Tech Tips (LTT) - the flagship channel behind over 16 million subscribers' favorite tech content. Reporting to the Head of Writing, you'll be the driving force connecting team members from across the production pipeline, keeping ambitious productions on schedule, and shaping the final cut with editors. If you're energized by a fast-paced environment designed to educate and entertain, then this is the place for you.

This role owns the successful delivery of assigned video productions by coordinating cross-functional teams from concept through publication.

As an LTT Producer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties

- Coordinating the efforts of all members of a project’s team, including procurement, testing, writing, shooting, editing, and business partnerships staff.
- Ensuring the video projects assigned are moving forward in accordance with the full cycle schedule including but not limited to procurement, testing, shoot and release.
- Developing early-stage video projects by fact-finding internally and externally.
- Ensuring productions are smooth by working with production assistants and others to ensure everything needed for the shoot is prepared and present (including props, screencapture, and products), and by attending shoots.
- Understanding the vision and scope of projects by working with the writer and attending calls with brands.

- Writing instructions for the camera/editing team for the visuals that accompany the writer’s script.
- Reviewing video drafts alongside the video editor and giving creative and technical notes.
- Working with editors to implement notes from technical or creative stakeholders.
- Assisting with the teardown and clearing of sets after shoots, ensuring all equipment is safely disassembled and organized for future use
- Generating compelling and creative tech-related video concepts aligned with the branding of our channels.

Key Metrics:

- Assigned productions are delivered on time.
- Shoots are consistently production-ready with minimal execution issues.
- Writers are able to focus on writing because production execution is effectively owned by the Producer.

Job Requirements:

- Proven ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting, meeting deadlines and coordinating tasks
- Interest in computer equipment, gaming devices, and other emerging technologies
- English writing and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and creativity.
- A strong sense of initiative and ambition.
- Great problem-solving skills and perseverance.
- Strong communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- A valid driver’s license for regular offsite shoots and errands. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for individuals unable to drive due to any protected grounds

Compensation: For this position, the typical hiring salary base range falls between $70,000 and $95,000 CAD per year, based on market location and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
