What You’ll Do:

As our Lumber Lead, you’ll play an significant role in the success of the Lumber Department by:

- Building strong, long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and our members.
- Providing knowledgeable, friendly, and solution-focused customer service.
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the Lumber Department along with scheduling, including sales (inside sale/outside sales) and Marketing, production, project execution, deliveries, quality control, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Working toward sales, margin, inventory, and other department targets.
- Identifying opportunities to grow sales and develop new customer relationships.
- Completing market research and price comparisons to ensure competitive pricing.
- Providing direction, support, and coaching to Team Members.
- Assigning work and providing ongoing feedback to help Team Members succeed.
- Promoting the Co-op brand and maintaining high standards for merchandising and department presentation.
- Ensuring Health & Safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed.
