Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the hotel’s facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent working order to provide guests with a comfortable and safe stay. This role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and safety systems.
- Address maintenance issues in guest rooms, such as fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs, repairing minor drywall damage, etc.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and ensure all hotel facilities are in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and repair issues to minimize guest inconvenience.
- Maintain and monitor the hotel pool’s chemical balance, cleanliness, and functionality of filtration systems. Ensure the pool is safe and clean for guests by regularly testing water quality, adjusting chemicals, and cleaning debris.
- Maintain the hotel’s exterior, including landscaping, parking areas, walkways.
- Log maintenance and repair work, including parts used and services completed, and maintain accurate records for future reference.




- Adhere to local safety standards and regulations, including fire safety, building codes, and environmental laws.
- Work closely with the housekeeping and front desk teams to address maintenance issues affecting guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and report any supplies and parts inventory required for repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Technical school training or certification preferred.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Experience with pool maintenance and knowledge of water chemistry and safety regulations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and other repair skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and associates in a professional manner.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50lbs), work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred.

Work Environment:

- This position may require work in various conditions, including both indoors and outdoors. The job involves standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. Flexibility in working hours is required, as this role may involve evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
