Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support our hybrid greenhouse operations in Langton. In this role, you will keep critical greenhouse and facility systems running reliably—directly supporting plant health, yield, and product quality across our agricultural production environment.

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and continuous operation of greenhouse systems and facility equipment. This role ensures optimal growing conditions by maintaining environmental control systems, irrigation, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure in a safe and efficient manner.

Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment & Facility Maintenance

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on greenhouse systems including HVAC, irrigation, lighting, and climate control systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on greenhouse systems, including HVAC, irrigation/fertigation, lighting, and climate/BAS control equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to restore equipment to service quickly.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unplanned downtime and extend asset life.





Environmental Systems Support

- Monitor and maintain temperature, humidity, CO₂, and airflow systems to support crop targets.
- Support operation and basic troubleshooting of automated greenhouse control systems (e.g., climate computers, BAS).
- Ensure irrigation and fertigation systems (pumps, valves, injectors, filters, distribution lines) are calibrated and function correctly

CMMS, Documentation & Compliance

- Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work orders, log work performed, track parts, and close out tasks.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and equipment histories to support audits and continuous improvement.
- Follow all health and safety policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards applicable to cannabis and agricultural operations.

Facility & Project Support

- Perform general building maintenance (minor repairs, painting, basic carpentry).
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment and production systems.
- Support seasonal and project‑based work (e.g., system changeovers, retrofits, and layout changes).

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas

Facility Upkeep

- Perform general building maintenance (repairs, painting, minor construction)
- Support installation of new equipment and system upgrades
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation





Qualifications & Experience

- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Experience with automated systems or environmental controls is an asset
- Basic computer skills for logging and monitoring systems
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience in greenhouse, agriculture, food, or industrial environments (cannabis or controlled‑environment agriculture considered an asset).
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; experience with irrigation or fertigation systems is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with BAS / environmental control systems and CMMS platforms is an asset.
- Basic computer literacy for CMMS, monitoring software, and email.
- Trade certification (electrician, millwright, refrigeration, or similar) is an asset.

Working Conditions
