We are seeking a Maintenance Worker to support the Maintenance Manager in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming hotel for guests, colleagues, and visitors. The Maintenance Worker will assist with daily maintenance operations, preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergency requests throughout the property.

The Maintenance Worker will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other hotel departments to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly and ensure the hotel remains in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Maintenance Manager with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the hotel.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel grounds.
- Assist with HVAC maintenance and basic troubleshooting of air conditioning and heating systems.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Assist with kitchen equipment and facility maintenance.
- Support locksmithing, door, lock, and room amenity repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Respond to guest and departmental maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Work with Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and other departments to resolve maintenance issues.
- Assist with pool maintenance and water quality testing as required.
- Assist with maintaining hotel grounds and exterior areas.
- Help monitor hotel mechanical systems, utilities, and equipment and report unusual conditions or potential problems.
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance work and report outstanding issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures, building codes, fire regulations, health requirements,



and other applicable standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop, work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with preventative maintenance projects and special maintenance assignments.
- Support the Maintenance Manager during emergency situations and respond to maintenance calls when scheduled.
- Work safely and use appropriate personal protective equipment and tools.
- Perform other duties and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience preferred; hotel or commercial property maintenance experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Hands-on individual with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic maintenance problems.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to identify maintenance issues before they become major problems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
- Highly dependable, organized, and safety conscious.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment and respond to urgent maintenance requests.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, evenings, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Must be able to work in person and perform physical maintenance duties throughout the hotel.
