Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Manager of Community Engagement to lead our efforts in building vibrant, inclusive, and impactful community relationships. In this role, you will develop strategic initiatives to foster meaningful connections with diverse community groups, coordinate outreach programs, and promote our organization’s mission. Your energetic leadership will inspire teams, drive engagement campaigns, and ensure our community initiatives resonate positively across all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

· Provide support to Community engagement team including planning group sessions, inviting clients, guest speakers, monitoring and evaluating sessions

- Lead or assist in organizing CCVT institutional events throughout the year, arrange for keynote speakers, guests, venues, refreshments etc.
- Liaises with appropriate community agencies to collaborate on various projects for newcomers, and in order to link clients to services relevant to their needs
- Conduct outreach via in-person, social media, email and other internet-based platforms to recruit newcomer youth, ensuring that participants are eligible for Newcomer Programs
- Maintain and ensure active presence of existing social media channels and support for all CCVT programs
- Design Flyers, Posters and other promotional materials for events, workshops and collaborations with other organizations and actively engage with community partners on social media




- Manage all social media platforms by replying to incoming inquiries, client requests, referrals
- Maintain CCVT’s website to ensure it is updated with events, program, publications and job postings in collaboration with other managers
- Participate in the development and distribution of digital program evaluations assessing the needs of all clients, in cooperation with managers
- May lead or participate in Sponsorship Agreement Holder program

Requirements

Education and Experience

· BSW/ or degree in community development, and 2-3 years of relevant experience preferably in community engagement and volunteer management, with practical experience in digital marketing related fields, or a combined equivalent of education and experience.

· Experience working with the scope of work in community organizations, NGOs, or mental health-related fields.

· Competent with MS Office suite, Google drive and other Google apps, Zoom, and client related databases,

· Ability to use transit to reach our locations

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong public speaking

· Skilled in assignment and supervision of volunteers

· Detail oriented and able to multi task, positive judgment and analytical skill

· Knowledge of human rights issues as they pertain to clients and staff

· Adept at troubleshooting software and hardware, able to create efficiencies in data entry and storage

Pay: $42.93 per hour
