Role Description The Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC, overseeing daily operations of both the organic grocery and vegan café. This role includes supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the store and café. The Manager monitors inventory, organizes product displays, works with vendors, and supports ordering and receiving to maintain stock and uphold quality standards.

Responsibilities also include implementing health, safety, and cleanliness practices, handling basic financial tasks such as cash reconciliation and sales reporting, and supporting marketing initiatives,



and community events. The Manager collaborates closely with ownership to align operations with the company’s ethical, plant-based mission and fosters a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

- Experience in retail, grocery, café, or restaurant management, including staff supervision and scheduling.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively and support a welcoming environment.
- Operational and organizational skills, including inventory management, vendor coordination, and basic cash handling or point-of-sale systems.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations relevant to grocery and café operations.
- Interest in or knowledge of organic, plant-based, and vegan products and practices; commitment to ethical and sustainable food systems.
- Ability to work on-site full time, including weekends or evenings as needed, and to perform duties that may involve standing, lifting, and moving stock.
- Previous leadership experience and the ability to train, motivate, and support a diverse team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field is an asset.
