Planning & Performance (E26-095) Finance WORK LOCATION/OFFICE 01 Full Time - Salaried FortisAlberta is seeking a forward‑thinking Manager, Financial Planning and Performance to lead a high‑performing finance team and play a key role in strengthening how the organization plans, forecasts, and measures success. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, this role sits at the center of business decision‑making—partnering with leaders across the company to translate operational activity into clear financial insights, drive performance, and support long‑term strategic objectives. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Financial Planning Advisors, including performance management, capability development, and succession planning. Partner with business leaders to deliver value‑added financial analysis that drives improved operational and financial performance.
Translate operational drivers and business changes into accurate forecasts and meaningful performance insights.
Drive continuous improvement by streamlining, enhancing, and automating financial planning and reporting processes. Lead the end‑to‑end development of the annual business plan, aligning financial targets with corporate strategy and priorities. Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial risk management.
Contribute to strategic initiatives and finance transformation efforts, including system and process modernization. Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of ten years of progressive finance experience. Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and business partnering.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations. Proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience working with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
Experience in a rate‑regulated or utility environment is considered an asset. Permanent, full-time role. Monday – Friday schedule. This role will be moving to our Airdrie office location in 2027.
