Overview
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will have the opportunity to become a dedicated contributor to our oil sands mining operations by operating ultra class haul trucks in a secure, efficient, and productive manner. This role is essential to supporting site production goals while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years experience with operating equipment (haul trucks, wiggle wagon, dozers, graders, excavators) in industries such as mining, civil earthworks, pipelines sawmills, pulp. and paper mills or manufacturing, or highway construction.
- A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or Canadian Adult Educational Credential (CAEC) or 10+ years or work experience.
- A valid driver’s license and a cleaning driving record.
Responsibilities
- Be a positive contributor to building safety culture
- Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments
- Follow our operating standards and procedures
- Operate carious makes and models of haul trucks
- Report all incidents, damage, and near misses immediately
- Communicate updates to your supervisor to ensure that you meet all goals and objectives
LOCATION & OTHER KEY DETAILS
- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray
- The shift schedule is six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12 hour shifts)
- This is not a camp-based or fly in/fly out position
- This position is safety sensitive
