- Develop short- and long-term sales strategies and direct strategic account management initiatives

- Secure industry partnerships to maximize advertising and sponsorship revenue

- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and clients

- Supervise and direct day-to-day sales team operations

- Provide leadership, motivation, problem solving, coaching and training

- Identify, target and maximize revenue opportunities

- Direct consistent account management activities

- Promote and present CBC/Radio-Canada to internal and external industry clients

- Monitor industry trends and developments

- Present proposals to senior clients

- Analyze operational requirements and manage the departmental budget

- Prepare revenue and market activity reports for the Leadership Team

- Manage strategic account planning, bi-weekly revenue forecasts and management reports

Requirements

- Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent with an emphasis on business or marketing preferred

- Five to ten years of progressive experience in the digital advertising industry

- Broadcast experience is an asset

- Extensive understanding of media sales, sales administration and marketing functions

- Excellent negotiation skills with a solid track record of success

- Extensive computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Google products

- Ability to translate research and market conditions into coherent sales strategies

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and act strategically under pressure

- Strong business management and strategic marketing skills





- Ability to manage business planning and revenue forecasting

- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities

- Proven ability to lead and manage a team and create a learning culture

- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to balance organizational and client needs using listening skills, tact and diplomacy

- Independent judgment, initiative and problem-solving ability

- Bilingual English and French is an asset
