About Mega Courts
Mega Courts is a rapidly growing indoor pickleball and tennis destination in Calgary.
With the opening of our expansion in September 2026, Mega Courts will operate 21 dedicated pickleball courts and eight indoor tennis courts under one roof. The expanded facility will also include a lounge, bar, private-event spaces and additional amenities, making Mega Courts one of Canada’s largest indoor pickleball and tennis facilities.
As our facility, programming and community continue to grow, we are looking for a creative and organized Marketing Coordinator to help share the Mega Courts story and connect more people with our memberships, programs, events and experiences.
The Opportunity:
The Marketing Coordinator will play an important role in the day-to-day execution of Mega Courts’ marketing activities.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, bringing ideas to life and working in a fast-moving sports and recreation environment. You will help promote pickleball, tennis, memberships, tournaments, leagues, lessons, camps, corporate events and other facility offerings across social media, email, the website and on-site promotional materials.
You will work collaboratively with the General Manager, Director of Pickleball and Director of Tennis to understand business priorities and turn them into engaging, timely and effective marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of regular marketing activities, contribute new ideas and help shape the continued growth of the Mega Courts brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media and Content Creation
- Help plan and manage the Mega Courts social-media calendar.
- Create and schedule engaging posts, stories, reels and other digital content.
- Capture photographs and short videos of programs, tournaments, events and daily facility activity.
- Edit photographs and short-form videos for social media and promotional use.
- Write clear, engaging and skilled captions, advertisements and promotional copy.
- Help manage routine marketing-related comments and social-media messages.
- Maintain consistent branding, tone and messaging across all platforms.
- Identify opportunities to highlight the Mega Courts community, coaches, players, programs and facility.
- Stay current with social-media trends and recommend creative content ideas.
Graphic Design and Promotional Materials
- Create posters, digital advertisements, program graphics, signage and promotional
materials using Canva or similar software.
- Develop new creative concepts and adapt existing brand templates.
- Prepare promotional materials for memberships, lessons, leagues, tournaments, camps and events.
- Coordinate approved printing and production when required.
- Maintain an organized library of photographs, videos, logos, templates and marketing assets.
- Keep promotional materials accurate,
current and visually consistent.
- Collaborate with approved designers, photographers, videographers and printers when additional support is required.
Website and Email Marketing
- Maintain and update the Mega Courts website using Wix.
- Keep information about memberships, pricing, programs, events, amenities and operating hours accurate and current.
- Create and update program pages, promotional banners, photographs and announcements.
- Regularly review the website for outdated information, errors or broken links.
- Prepare and send newsletters, announcements and promotional email campaigns.
- Maintain organized email lists and customer segments.
- Monitor campaign performance, including email opens, clicks, inquiries and registrations.
- Recommend improvements based on campaign results and customer engagement.
Membership, Program and Event Promotion
- Support campaigns designed to grow memberships and communicate membership benefits.
- Promote pickleball and tennis lessons, leagues, academies, tournaments, camps, open plays and social events.
- Work closely with the Directors of Pickleball and the Director of Tennis to gather program information and develop promotional plans.
- Ensure programs and events are marketed with sufficient lead time.
- Create campaigns to increase participation in underutilized programs, courts and time periods.
- Promote corporate events, team-building activities, birthday parties, school groups and private functions.
- Support seasonal campaigns, facility launches and major Mega Courts events.
- Look for creative ways to introduce new audiences to pickleball, tennis and the Mega Courts community.
Corporate and Group Marketing Support
- Respond to initial corporate, group and event inquiries using current information and resources.
- Gather key details such as group size, preferred dates, activity interests and coaching requirements.
- Maintain organized and accurate lead information in the company’s customer-management system.
- Follow up with prospective customers and help move qualified opportunities forward.
- Collaborate with management on proposals, pricing and customized event opportunities.
- Support communication with customers before their inquiry is transferred to the appropriate operational team.
Marketing Planning and Performance
- Maintain a coordinated marketing calendar covering programs, events, tournaments, campaigns and important deadlines.
- Work with department leaders to gather information and plan upcoming promotions.
- Balance multiple projects while ensuring campaigns are completed accurately and on time.
- Track completed campaigns, website updates, email performance, inquiries and lead activity.
- Prepare a monthly summary of key marketing activities and results.
- Identify which posts, emails and promotions generate the strongest engagement.
- Recommend practical ideas to improve awareness, participation, registrations and customer experience.
- Contribute ideas for future campaigns, partnerships, events and community-building initiatives.
Collaboration and Decision-Making The Marketing Coordinator will have ownership of regular marketing activities, including scheduled content, website updates, email campaigns and the use of established brand templates. The role will collaborate closely with the Director of Pickleball and Director of Tennis to coordinate priorities and ensure information is accurate.
Major pricing changes, policy announcements, significant promotional campaigns and sensitive public communications will be developed in consultation with management.
This collaborative structure allows the Marketing Coordinator to work independently while having access to the information, support and leadership needed to succeed.
Qualifications
- One to five years of experience in marketing, communications, social media or a related position.
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business or a related field is preferred.
- Strong writing, proofreading and communication skills.
- Experience with several of the following:
◦ Instagram and Facebook ◦ Canva or similar design software
◦ Photography and short-form video editing
◦ Wix or another website platform
◦ Email-marketing platforms
◦ CRM or customer-database systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage several projects and deadlines at the same time.
- Comfortable communicating with customers through email, phone and social media.
- Able to take initiative, contribute ideas and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience in sports, recreation, fitness, hospitality or a membership-based business is an asset.
- An interest in pickleball, tennis or racquet sports is an asset.

Working Hours This is a full-time position with regular weekday working hours.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to capture content or support tournaments, major events and promotional activities. Where appropriate, working hours may be adjusted within the same workweek.
Routine after-hours availability is not required.

Competitive salary based on experience
