Materials / Shipping Supervisor

Location: Thorndale, ON Schedule: Monday – Friday - 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM EST

Salary: $74,000 – $85,000

We are seeking a hands-on Materials / Shipping Supervisor to lead yard operations and ensure the safe, efficient flow of materials and rental bridge inventory.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day yard operations, including storage, staging, organization, and material flow
- Supervise and coordinate yard employees across shipping, receiving, picking, and packing activities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate material flow
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the bridge rental program, including shipping, returns, inspections, and inventory readiness
- Ensure returned materials are inspected, restocked, or flagged for repair
- Maintain yard organization, equipment readiness, and material handling standards
- Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications





Required:

- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, materials management, logistics, or yard operations
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a hands-on environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and material flow processes
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems
- Robust organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, yard-based environment

Assets:

- Forklift or material-handling experience
