In this pivotal position, you will report to the Manager of Project Engineering and play an essential role in designing and overseeing transmission facility connections throughout Alberta's electrical system. You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead technical assessments, and ensure high-quality engineering outcomes across various projects. Your leadership will also foster innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership for transmission facility design initiatives
• Develop and approve project deliverables and specifications
• Perform advanced power system studies and assessments
• Collaborate with facility owners and project teams for success
• Mentor engineers, promoting technical excellence in the team
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, P.Eng. eligibility
• 12+ years in electric utility engineering
• Expertise in transmission planning and cost estimating
• Solid knowledge of Alberta's regulatory framework
• Proven capability in managing multiple engineering projects
