Ongwanada is seeking full-time Treatment Counsellors for various community settings in Kingston and Gananoque. This role focuses on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses through specialized care.
Join Ongwanada's team as a Treatment Counsellor, providing vital support in a multi-disciplinary environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, implementing behaviour support plans, and monitoring health changes. Working collaboratively with professionals and families, you will create a positive impact in the lives of those served.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct care, promoting health and wellness
• Assist individuals with daily living tasks and hygiene
• Observe, report,
and respond to behavioral changes
• Implement treatment and behavioural support plans
• Collaborate in team meetings for progress assessment
Requirements:
• Degree in a related human services field
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience with dual diagnosis and crisis intervention
• Valid G Driving License for transportation needs
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
