Morning Baker

Location: Jollity Farm Community Farm Shop and Cafe, Chemainus, BC

Wage: $20/hour + tips (average $5/hr)

Schedule: Sat-Tues, 5-10AM

Do you love baking from scratch and working with fresh, local ingredients? We're looking for a Baker/Prep Cook to join our team at Jollity Community Farm Shop & Café 4 mornings a week.

About Us

Jollity is a community-focused, farm-to-plate café and shop connected to a 10-acre regenerative farm on Thetis Island! We make nutritious food in-house using ingredients we grow ourselves or source from local producers.

What You'll Do

- Bake muffins, scones, cookies, bread, and other seasonal baking from scratch
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings using seasonal ingredients
- Ensure baked goods are ready for opening each morning
- Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe kitchen
- Help minimize waste by making the most of fresh farm ingredients
- Work independently while collaborating with our small team

Training Provided! We're Looking For Someone Who

- Doesn't mind working alone early in the mornings
- Some commercial or extensive personal baking experience
- Enjoys collaborating and sharing skills




- Takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food
- Is reliable, organized, and ok with starting at 5AM
- Works well independently and pays attention to detail
- Values sustainability and local food
- Food Safe level 2 or willing to obtain
- Is legally authorized to work in Canada and local or can reliably commute to Chemainus

Room to Grow This position focuses on baking, with some prep cook responsibilities. More prep cook or day cook hours may be available in future.
