Make a difference in the lives of young adults as a Youth Worker with Coast Mental Health. This full time position focuses on mental health support and community engagement, directly impacting lives positively.
As a Youth Worker, you will work under the Young Adults Program Manager with individuals aged 19 to 32. Your responsibilities will include facilitating leisure activities, providing therapeutic support, and managing cases. Cultivating trust and rapport while identifying goals related to social and educational advancements are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in recovery plans and life skill development • Provide information to boost self-esteem and decision-making • Assist clients with access to community supports • Advocate for clients' rights and dignity • Develop and lead Wellness-Awareness Programs
Requirements: • Diploma in Community Social Service Certificate • Two years of related experience or equivalent education • Knowledge of mental health recovery and community resources • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Criminal record clearance required
