The Warehouse Worker is responsible for the efficient shipping and receiving of products, ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The Warehouse Worker also supports inventory management activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, stock replenishment, and inventory accuracy initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving
Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. Unload deliveries and move materials to designated storage locations. Accurately enter received goods into warehouse management systems. Report shortages, overages, or damaged goods to supervisors.
Organize and store inventory according to warehouse procedures. Inventory Support
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate variances. Ensure inventory is correctly labeled and stored. Maintain accurate inventory records in warehouse systems. Support inventory control initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency. Shipping
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Verify order accuracy and ensure products are properly labeled. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers. Inspect outgoing shipments for damage and quality standards. Maintain shipping records and update inventory systems as required. Qualifications
Minimum, High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 2-year warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is an asset. Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23 kg). Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management or inventory systems preferred. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as Walkies and Reach Truck (forklift certification is an asset).
